Kendra’s gone carbon neutral

At Kendra, we help clients reduce their building’s carbon emissions. So when it comes to our own sustainability practices, we like to lead by example.

To understand and reduce our own environmental impact, we partnered with Neutral Carbon Zone (NCZ), an independent carbon assessment specialist. Together, we analysed every organisational and operational aspect of the business. From employee commutes and company vehicles to supply chains. This helped us establish a baseline and set a clear decarbonisation roadmap.

From silver and gold to our new ‘platinum’ certification

We started our journey with a NCZ Silver Certification in 2022, followed by Gold in 2023. Each step required rigorous, independent assessments of our Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions to international ISO standards.

In 2024, we reached the highest possible level: NCZ Platinum Certification. To get there, we went beyond internal operations and tackled our supply chain. That meant:

• Launching a supplier compliance programme
• Setting and meeting carbon reduction targets
• Demonstrating year-on-year emissions reductions

How we stay carbon neutral

To maintain our neutral status and push for continuous improvement, we’ve implemented:

• Remote support to reduce travel and emissions
• Smart site planning to minimise engineer commutes
• Energy-efficient offices with air quality sensors
• Green Fleet, with hybrid and electric vehicles
• Carbon offsetting for unavoidable emissions
• Full transparency in tracking and reporting progress
• Compliance with international emissions standards

It’s all part of a long-term strategy to cut emissions and make more environmentally responsible decisions.
