Kendra Energy Solutions Secures Major Multi-Year BEMS Contract with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board
Kendra’s been awarded a prestigious multi-year Building Energy Management System (BEMS) contract with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth across Wales.
The contract
Works include comprehensive BEMS maintenance services alongside the strategic upgrade of the Health Board’s legacy Satchwell Sigma system to the latest Schneider EcoStruxure platform. The upgrade will modernise critical infrastructure across the estate, enhancing operational resilience, performance visibility and long-term asset reliability within a complex healthcare environment.

As the UK’s largest Schneider Electric partner, Kendra was selected to deliver this technically demanding programme due to its proven expertise in healthcare estates and large-scale BEMS transformation projects.
Another pivotal factor in the Health Board’s decision to appoint Kendra is its proprietary PROActiv platforms, enabling the Health Board to transition from reactive maintenance to an intelligent, predictive and condition-based maintenance strategy. This will help increase system uptime, extend asset life and drive measurable cost efficiencies.
PROActiv will also play an important role in supporting the Health Board’s ongoing energy management and carbon reduction journey as it progresses towards net zero. Aligning with the sustainability guidance and strategic direction set by both the NHS and the Welsh Government.
